Dr. Paula Fraňová
Dr. Paula Fraňová is a patent analyst with a focus on organic chemistry. She began her academic studies in biotechnology, before shifting to organic chemistry. Alongside her studies, she gained valuable industry experience working as a synthetic chemist for chemical company, where she was involved in the synthesis of various organic compounds.
She completed her education at Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, earning both her MSc and PhD in organic chemistry. Her master’s research focused on the synthesis of alkaloid analogues, while her PhD work centred on the synthesis of novel iminosugars, particularly polyhydroxylated indolizidines.
During her doctoral studies, Dr. Fraňová received National Scholarship from Slovak Republic, which supported an eight-month research stay at the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) in Tarragona, Spain. There, she gained experience in metal catalysis and photocatalysis.
